Roads of Time

Gali Myrzashev is an artist of wide profiles. He works in area of scenography, animation films and book graphic.

Although he is interested in various branches of art, only painting can help him to express his feelings, hidden ideas. He showed himself as very interesting artist just after the graduating from the Cinema University in Moscow in 1986. His earlier works are devoid of triviality of life; they can transmit the audience into special atmosphere.

There is a new cycle of pictures at this exhibition. They are joined by common atmosphere and theme conditionally called. My small motherland. There are no witty plots, engaged stories in his pictures. Within the bounds of everyday life, which was earlier and will be always, the artist tells us about his household and family with amazing tenderness and melancholy. He takes the image of everyday life from his experience and grateful memory. The color of his pictures is contained, toned and a little bit gloomy. The technique of his work is hidden from the audience; we can't see the touching of a brush to the canvas. However, it is not snobbery. It is just necessary condition to make the images radiating the light.

The pictures are very attractive by their unusual nature. They look like out of time and space therefore they can say much to the audience. Beauty of his silent and gloomy pictures is full of metaphors and allegories of life, our complicated destiny. There are questions about the past and the future frozen in his pictures. There are hopes to solve agonizing quests of the present.
